No school on Wednesday - hooray!

For the two little monsters that is. After successfully pulling them out of bed, the younger copy of me wanted to take a shower. So fine, just about time to manage it, if you don't mind going to school with wet hair. The little guy wanted a bath, so I had to persuade him, that there just isn't enough time. Eventually both kids dressed and partly ate their syruped waffles with milk, then annoyed our cat for a while and finally were happily on their way to school. As I waved them off, my son's buddy's older sister came to our house and told me that the school is closed because of freezing rain. So I called the kids back home. So much joy one rarely sees in both of them at the same time. They celebrated as if they finally got their own rooms. Quickly they established themselves each on one PC and played a penguin game, till their father made them stop and watch with him an environmental video. Meanwhile I washed the dirty dishes and wondered when it will be my turn to use the computer. After I ate a sandwich, kids gobbled some stuff from their lunch bags and the husband wolfed down his veggie mix, I got more insistent than usual about having my own blog. So my husband started one for me in order to have peace and quiet. But knowing my own limits, as far as computers go, I doubt that this was the last help I needed from him. Later we all went to a secondhand store, where we bought a bunch of books and other great things, that somebody didn't want anymore. My son is now visiting his friend and my daughter is reading a scary book and looking forward to some vegetable soup for supper. My husband is either playing in the garage or organizing his collection of papers. I will conclude for now because my back hurts as if somebody karate kicked me, so I will have to try a little stretching or at least a painkiller.
